It is a marvellous thing that our blessed Lord Jesus has brought us the news—not merely that God made the world, but that we can know what God himself is like. It is an amazing condescension of God to allow us mortals to peer into his own inner being and to know what he is like. It is the biggest subject that human beings could possibly give themselves to contemplate. These studies help us to gain insight into God’s self-revelation in his word, and in his Son, Jesus Christ.
