1.1 We are The Myrtlefield Trust, a Registered Charity (NIC101940), registered at 180 Mountsandel Road, Coleraine, BT52 1TA. We can be reached by email at info@myrtlefieldhouse.com.

1.2 We are a publisher and operate the imprint Myrtlefield House providing some materials free of charge to the end user under our charitable programmes.

1.3 We fundraise from churches, trusts and individuals, whose donations help to further our charitable objects.

1.4 We run two websites, Myrtlefield House and Key Bible Concepts.

2. Why does The Myrtlefield Trust have a privacy notice?

2.1 We want you to feel happy sharing your data with us so that we can offer you the best possible service. That is why we want to be completely transparent about what personal details we request and how we will use them. This notice sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us.

2.2 We are also required by law to explain what data we hold, how and why it is collected, how it will be used, who it will be shared with, how this might affect you and what you need to do if you wish to complain.

2.3 We comply with all relevant provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998 and the Privacy & Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 and the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679.

3. What data about me are you collecting and why?

3.1 If you register to receive our newsletter, we will collect your name, email address and contact preferences so that we can send you newsletters by email. By registering, you are giving us consent to keep in touch with you by email. We will only send updates about the work we are involved in and any new resources we provide. The legal basis of this processing is explicit consent.

3.2 We collect data through Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager. This allows us to keep track of how our website is being used. The terms associated with these are laid out below. The legal basis of this processing is legitimate interest to improve our website and services.

3.2.1 Google Analytics enables Myrtlefield House to monitor and analyse web traffic and can be used to keep track of user behaviour. Google Analytics is a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (‘Google’). Google uses the data it collects to track and examine the use of this website, to prepare reports on its activities and share them with other Google services. Google may use the data collected to inform the distribution of ads on its own advertising network. Google Analytics uses cookies and usage data. 3.2.2 Google Tag Manager helps Myrtlefield House to manage the tags or scripts needed on this website in a centralised fashion. This results in your data flowing through these services and potentially resulting in the retention of this data. Google Tag Manager is a tag management service provided by Google LLC. 3.3 If you make a donation via Paypal or BTMyDonate we will collect your name and email address, so that we can thank you and have an identifier for the donation. If you are able to Gift Aid your donation, we will also collect and store your postal address which we will pass, with your name, to HMRC so we can collect the Gift Aid. The legal basis of this processing is legal obligation.

3.4.1 If you make a purchase through our online bookstore we will pass the information you provide to 10ofThose UK to fulfil the order. 10ofThose UK will hold your data until the order has been completed, and then discard it. You can view 10ofThose UK's privacy policy here.

3.4.2 If you make a purchase through our online bookstore we do not save your payment data. It is processed by our webhost Squarespace in order to complete the transaction. You can view Squarespace's privacy policy here.

4. How long will you hold my data for?

4.1 The Myrtlefield Trust will hold the personal data you have provided for marketing as long as you continue to give us permission to hold it. We will periodically request confirmation of your desire to continue receiving this material and if you do not give continued consent we will remove your data after one year.

4.2 We are legally obliged to retain Gift Aid declarations and associated financial paperwork for up to 6 years after the calendar year to which they relate.

4.3 If you ask us to stop contacting you, we will need to keep your email address to ensure that we comply with your request.

4.4 Google Analytics holds data it collects for 36 months before erasing it.

4.5 10ofThose UK holds data it collects until the order has been completed.

5. Where is my data stored?

6. How safe is my data?

6.1 We do our utmost to ensure that sending your personal data over the internet is completely secure and use SSL certified processes, but we cannot guarantee the security of your data while it is in transit, so any data you send is at your own risk. We have procedures and security features in place to keep your data secure once we receive it.

7. Who will my data be shared with?

7.1 Your data is shared with third parties in order to fulfil contractual obligations, such as the payment and delivery of services and products.

7.2 It may also be shared in the case of legal obligation.

7.3 Your data will not be shared with third parties in any other context without your consent.
