Resources on Genesis
What a joy it is to read this ancient history. This book of beginnings starts with the details of creation and the fall. But even before he formed the world, God had prepared a Saviour, a man who should be able to take over earth and make it as God intended it should be: something glorious and good. That man would come through the line of a nation that God had chosen: he will be a Hebrew, an Israelite; he is the promised seed. The road of redemption shall reach its final goal when the blessed Jew, Jesus Christ our Lord, shall come again. His earthly people have rejected him, but he is still the Saviour of the world. They shall eventually own him as he takes over and makes something of the earth as God originally intended mankind should do. That is the story of the great book of Genesis.
