Where can I find witnesses to the text of the New Testament, such as the Chester Beatty biblical papyri?

This text is from a letter written by David Gooding in 1998.

As far as the witness to the text of the New Testament is concerned, the Chester Beatty manuscripts of the New Testament have long since been edited and published, their textual evidence evaluated and made available in critical editions of the Greek text of the New Testament.

For instance, the United Bible Societies' edition of the Greek New Testament, Third Edition Corrected—edited by Kurt Aland, Matthew Black, Carlo M. Martini, Bruce M. Metzger, Allen Wikgren, in co-operation with the Institute for the New Testament Textual Research, Munster/Westphalia, under the direction of Kurt Aland and Barbara Alandcontains information about all the extant papyri for the New Testament; and in any particular place in the New Testament where the readings of the Chester Beatty papyri differ from the standard text, the differences are noted in the critical apparatus at the bottom of the appropriate page.

Moreover, where the differences between the various manuscripts of the New Testament are important for the meaning of their contexts, they are discussed in the volume entitled A Textual Commentary on the Greek New Testament: A Companion Volume to the United Bible Societies\' Greek New Testament (Third Edition), by Bruce M. Metzger. They are also discussed, of course, in the major commentaries by the various commentators.

Yours very sincerely in Christ,
